CLIVAR SADCP DAC - How to Submit Data

Calibrated, quality-controlled, absolute currents at the highest resolution in time and depth as available are desired for the CLIVAR data set. Ancillary parameters are welcomed yet optional. Of more interest are the transducer temperature and navigation data.

Any well documented format and style for filenames and directories is acceptable, although CODAS format is preferred. Courtesy of the E.Firing "Currents" Laboratory at the University of Hawai, one may obtain the complete CODAS software and manual , which provides processing, editing, and calibrating of the raw data sets fresh off the ship. This software is also necessary to read data sets stored in the CODAS format.

Metadata (information about the data) are vital for the archive. The CLIVAR SADCP DAC provides a guideline (blank form), an example (completed form), and specific instructions for completing the form. If it is too much a burden to fill in the described form, and such information is available in a separate document, please just send or point to this document.

Transfer media such as DVDs, CDs are welcome. Also inquire about our incoming FTP area.
