Trans. : No Distribution : 1943-1944 Refernce Levl: No reference level information was available. An obvious level jump was corrected for 05 Jan - 05 May 1943 by adding 1000 mm. Comment : The data are visual observations of a tide pole by Japanese Navy personnel or prisoners of war during World War II. Observations were made on the hour around the clock. The residuals show fluctuations within the tidal frequency band (roughly a day or less), yet it is unclear if these are due to poor timing or the inability of the tidal analysis to fully resolve the complex tides of this region.
