This reference zero is unique to this station and is not an official datum (chart, national, etc.) and is not relative to local tidal parameters, such as mean lower low water. See the Originators for benchmark descriptions, maps, and the geodetic levelling history. Comment : Series 395B is distinguished from 395A because they are not linked to the same reference zero. A Tsunmai on 9 Oct 1995 is evident. Comparison with satellite altimetry (DAVISO) for daily means suggests a negative long term trend of the tide gauge data. Geodetic leveling indicates some benchmarks also have a trend, which implies upward land movement.
