Trans. : Yes Distribution : 1946-2019 Refernce Levl: All heights have been referred to the station tide staff zero which is linked to fixed bench marks. Based on residuals, a level shift was adjusted by adding -60 mm to 18Z 29 Dec 1950 to 12Z 31 Dec 1951. Differences with the PSMSL holdings suggest 1957 data high by 2 cm. While standard mechanical or ADR instrument was the primary gauge, leveling calibration factors were applied monthly based on tide staff comparisons. Comment : The daily and monthly means reveal no apparent reference level changes or trends and agree with the nearest station, Majuro. The timing is no better than about +/- 5 minutes prior to 1976. Notable episodic events: 04-06 Nov 1952: Tsunami from Kamchatka 23-25 May 1960: Tsunami from S.C. Chile 11 Mar 2011: Tsunami from Japan Notes regarding the JASL 20 Aug 2020 update: NOAA/NOS Notice: Data from this station between July 1, 2007 and February 28, 2016 has been reprocessed and quality assured according to NOS standards due to an identified quality control issue. The correction resulted in a mean difference of 3.9 cm and a standard difference of 11.8 cm between the previous and corrected data.
