Trans. : No Distribution : 1972-1987 Refernce Levl: Heights are referred to the station tide staff zero, which is linked to land-based benchmarks. This reference zero is unique to this station and is not an official datum (chart, national, etc.) and is not relative to local tidal parameters, such as mean lower low water. See the Originators for benchmark descriptions, maps, and the geodetic levelling history. Comment : The daily and monthly means reveal no apparent changes in the reference level and agree with Christmas. This series is distinguished from Fanning-A because the data are not linked to the same datum. The data for 1972-01/1975 are from a separate site: lat= 03 51.6N, lon= 159 22.1W. This series overlapped with the ADR during Feb 1975. Based on this overlap, a mean difference was determined, 267 mm, which was added to the original Bubbler data for 1972-01/1975. The ADR site was terminated in August 1987 and restarted at a new location in the atoll in 1988.
