Trans. : No Distribution : 1984-2004 Refernce Levl: The sea level heights are referred to the zero point assigned to the tide staff, which is 5.178m below TTG.194. Several reference level shifts were identified in 1991-1992, and 1998-2002. These periods with an unstable reference level were removed from the JASL series. The mean level of 2003-2004 was estimated to be low based on comparisons with the nearest stations. A temporary correction was made as given below. The originators may provide more precise corrections if supporting information is available, at which time the series will be updated. yyyymmddhh - yyyymmddhh added to original (mm) ----------------------- ---------------------- 2003010100 - 2004033123 500 Comment : Reference level stability is in question for this series. Large gaps and timing errors are frequent. Unknown source of high frequency noise is seen in the residuals for Nov-Dec 1993.
