The reference level (zero of series) have not been linked so the sets are kept as 281A (1954-2006) and 281B (2014-). Comment : The data contain significant fluctuations with periods of one to ten days mostly due to oceanic variability on the continental shelf. The data set is of high quality with no obvious reference level shifts. The originators note that some gaps have been interpolated.
