Trans. : Yes Distribution : 1905-2019 Refernce Levl: All heights have been referred to the station tide staff zero which is linked to fixed bench marks. While standard mechanical or ADR instrument was the primary gauge, leveling calibration factors were applied monthly based on tide staff comparisons. Benchmark 8 (1913) is the primary benchmark (PBM) stamped 'BM ELV 8.06FT' set in a concrete bulkhead on the southwest side of Ala Moana Blvd across from the Hawaiian Electric Company Power Plant. The PBM is 12.25 ft above the Tide Gauge Zero (Station Datum). NOAA Chart Datum (MLLW) is 3.69ft above Station Datum. This series is separate from Honolulu-A because they have not been tied to the same datum. Comment : A timing offset of -30 minutes exists in the hourly series from 1905 to 13 June 1947, when the local time zone in Hawaii was GMT-10.5. The hourly residuals have the largest fluctuations from 1910 to 1947. From 1905-1909, the fluctuations in the residuals are smaller indicating perhaps the time zone was adjusted during this period. Only extreme fluctuations are noted below for years 1910-1947.
