Series 018A is separate from 018B (National Tidal Facility, Australia) because they are at different locations. Comment : The 1972-10/28/1975 data are from the Coastal Geodetic Survey and were keypunched at Scripps (D.Luther). The residuals and comparisons with Noumea warranted the adjustment of -5cm from 12Z 11/21/72 - 03Z 04/05/73. Based on an overlap of Nov-Dec 1975 with the exisiting series, the CGS series was adjusted by adding 162mm. This span has poor timing and many short gaps. The site was moved in March 1989 to Latitude: 18 08.2S, Longitude: 178 25.6E and is maintained by NOS. Based on an overlap of March-May 1989, a constant was determined for relating the NOS data to the historic tide staff zero. A constant of (-10347 mm) was added to the data as provided by NOS. The data from the L&S ADR gauge begin on 01 June, 1989. A common bench mark is also available between the two time periods for comparisons of geodetic surveys.
