Trans. : Yes Distribution : 1932-1949 Refernce Levl: All heights refer to the tide station zero defined as the Bermuda Biological Station datum. The tide station was moved to the West India Oil Dock from 1939-01/1944 and the data were related to the Bermuda Biological Station based on a correction factor of -1.32 feet, derived from tide staff readings and geodetic levelling. The station was moved back to the Bermuda Biological Station in 5/1944. While standard mechanical or ADR instrument was the primary gauge, leveling calibration factors were applied monthly based on tide staff comparisons. Series 259A is separate from 259B due to the long gap and unconfirmed relationship between the reference levels of each period. Comment : The daily and monthly values do not show any obvious shifts or trends. These historic NOS records were digitized and quality controlled at the UHSLC.
